7/45 Carlton Cross


House. Late C15/early C16. Timber framed, modern roughcast
render, pantiled roof. Single storey and attic. Former hall
house, with cross passage and service end to the east. Mid C20
casement windows, mid C20 boarded half-door and open timber
porch, one catslide dormer to each roof slope, internal stack.
One arched doorway survives at the service end together with the
original stairs; cambered tie beam to centre truss of former open
hall, the crown post not visible.
