Former ochre works. Late C18 and early C19. The house is rendered on
rubble with pantile roof and coped gables with brick stacks. Symmetrical
3-storey front, 3 windows, glazing bar sashes in exposed frames, cambered
brick heads, centre window arched with keystone, ground floor windows paired.
Central panelled door, stone slab hood on brackets. Plaster end pilasters,
moulded cornice, ashlar parapet with coping. The Mill abutts to left and
breaks forward. Taller 4 storey building in pennant stone rubble with
hipped pantile roof. Four windows, 2-light wooden casements in cambered
brick headed openings. Hoist openings to 1st and 2nd floors, pulley beam
from 3rd floor window opening. Two storey 2 bay wing to left.
Interesting example of small local industrial complex.
