House and shop. Mid C18 with C19 rear addition at the west end.
Original building has L shape plan. Timber framed; the facade is
clad in wood blocks to imitate rustication, the remainder
plastered; hipped plaintiled roof. 2 storeys and attic. 6
windows with shop to left hand side: sashes with glazing bars
in flush frames, one painted dummy window to first floor; shop
window in matching style. Shop doorway with half-glazed door,
shouldered architrave, enriched frieze and dentil cornice; right
hand doorway with 6-panel raised and fielded door, the upper 2
panels glazed, shouldered architrave, enriched frieze and
pedimented cornice. External stack to left hand side. 3-bay
right hand return front, dummy painted windows to the centre bay;
internal stack. Right hand ground floor room is panelled and has
an ornate leadwork frieze similar to those above the external
doorways.
