TM 26 SW EARL SOHAM THE STREET
8/64 The Willows
House. Circa 1710. L shape plan. Timber framed and plastered,
the plaster lined in imitation of ashlar; plaster cove eaves
cornice; plaintiled roof. 2 storeys and attic. North facade
(facing The Street): 2 window range, fine original 3-light
mullion and transom casements with square leaded glass; central
doorway with 6-panel raised and fielded door, shouldered
architrave, frieze and dentilled triangular pediment; 2 dormers
with hipped roofs and original leaded windows; internal stack.
Vest facade: 3 window range, original windows as north facade;
central entrance porch with flat parapet; 6-panel door, the upper
4 panels glazed, rectangular fanlight with ornamental leaded
glass, reeded architrave and cornice; 2 dormers similar to north
facade. Good staircase with slender twisted balusters.
