Formerly house and forge, now builder's premises. C17 main range
with early C19 smithy to south. Main range: timber framed, part
plastered, part cased in colourwashed brick, the roof plaintiled
to north, pantiled to south; 2 storeys; various casement windows.
C20 half-glazed door to gable end. Smithy: colourwashed brick,
pantiled roof; single storey; casement windows, boarded half-
door, main entrance with iron gates. The main range is attached
to Wistaria (q.v.) and may have originally been in the same
ownership; at one time it was used as a malting.
