Dated 1672. Built of rubble, front with pebbledash. C20 red-tile roof
and end gables with bargeboards, tall square ashlar stacks with moulded
caps. Two storeys and gable-lit attic. Six windows, glazing bar sashes
in bolection architraves, moulded cills, moulded cornices over, decorative
oblong panel over 3rd window from right with inscription "IRA 1672" (for
Richard Jones). Bolection architrave door opening in 3rd bay from right,
later wooden porch. Gabled pantiled wing to rear with ashlar stack set
diagonally; this wing continued to west as single storey unit. Rear has
a number of 2-light wooden casements under dripmoulds. Rear also has a
gabled stair turret and a gabled dormer.
Interior: south ground floor room retains original panelling with enriched
frieze containing initials "IRA", entered by strapwork doorcase. Good
dog-leg staircase with splat balusters and pillar-newels, pendants below.
