House. Mid or late C18. 2 storeys. Red brick with string course at lst
floor and cornice at base of parapet. Pantiled roof with internal and gable
chimneys of red brick and parapet gable at right-hand end. Windows with flat
arches of gauged brick; small-pane C20 casements in imitation of sash windows.
6-panelled entrance door with semi-circular fanlight having radiating bars;
broken pediment on console brackets. The house has a 3-cell plan with rear
outshut; an unusually late example of this traditional form. Formerly known
as, and indicated on map as Ivydene.
