Farmhouse. c.1600 with core of C15 and alterations of early C20. Cross-
passage entrance plan. From the west side: 1 storey and attics. Timber-
framed and plastered. Plaintiled roof with gabled dormers; these and the main
roof have richly-carved early C20 bargeboards. Internal chimneys of red
brick. Mainly early C20 oak casements with leaded lights. Recessed plank
entrance door. A close-studded partition wall in the cross-passage has a pair
of service room doorways with 4-centred arched heads of C15 type. A panelled
cross-passage screen of c.1600. In a gabled wing to rear is a fine staircase
of late C16, with moulded newels and balustrading with turned balusters. The
2-storey rear service wing was added C17; it has C18 or early C19 casements;
there was an external plaster date 1793 until mid C20.
