5/66 Grove Farmhouse

Farmhouse, now 2 dwellings. C16-C17 to left hand side, comprising a short
main range and projecting cross wing; later addition to right of cross wing.
Timber framed and plastered, some brick casing; roof clad in corrugated iron
sheeting. 2 storeys with attic to cross wing. Various C19-C20 casement
windows, 3 C20 doors. Internal stack to earlier part, rebuilt in yellow
brick, and a similar but smaller stack to the later range. The roof at the
end of the later range has been reduced in height. The earlier part has some
exposed framing and joists, with a blacked mullioned window and blocked arched
doorway in the cross wing; this portion of the house was semi-derelict at the
time of survey.
