Barn, early to mid C18. Red brick, the exterior in Flemish bond. The interior in
English bond. Timber framed gables. Pantile roof. 5 bays, with midstrey on south
side, flanked by lean-to grain stores, and with opposing doorway on north side. 2
rows of circular vents, now blocked, one below eaves, one set in plinth, arranged
with 2 vents at each level in gable walls, and 2 at each level to each side of
opposing doorways. Pair of boarded doors to rear, weatherboarding above lintel.
Midstrey opening blocked by later framing; remains of pigeon holes in weatherboarded
gable above. Plinth of double thickness brickwork supports posts carrying 5 bay
roof. 2 tiers staggered butt purlins with ridge piece and collars, and straight
bracing from purlin to purlin, knees to the tie beams.
