Residential Lodge. Late C18. For Lord Rendlesham. "Strawberry Hill" Gothic.
One storey. Central hexagonal living room with flanking bedrooms and kitchen
at rear. Brick and stucco with flat roof behind embattled parapet. Central
chimney stack formed by converging floor in the form of flying buttresses.
Fenestration: 3 pointed arches with cusped tracery. Entrance doorway with
elliptical moulded arch and half glazed C20 door. Offset diagonal buttresses
with crocketted finials. Crocketted pinnacles to flying buttress bases have
blank canopied niches.
