3/33 Dock office building
Felixstowe Dock

House used as offices, late C19. Timber framed and weatherboarded, slate roof.
Imported in sections from Norway. Plan in form of Greek cross. 2 storeys and
attic. 1st floor slightly jettied with exposed joists. Central gable flanked
by catslide roofed projections, set forward from half hipped main roof. Central
brick stack. Scattered fenestration, timber casements, top and side hung. Gable
has semicircular bargeboards, flared at ends. One of two prefabricated sections
buildings imported from Norway, late C19. This building never left the dock and
was erected and used as offices from the outset by the Felixstowe Dock and
Railway Company.
