Farmhouse, formerly called Rookery Farmhouse. Early C17. 2 storeys and
attics Timber-framed and rendered; C20 single Roman tiles. On the south-
west, a brick gable-end with chimney-stack; another stack on the rear wall,
with a wing behind it, formerly a kitchen and dairy, now used as a garage and
outhouse. A small second rear wing has a C20 replacement roof. The main
range has plain C20 3-light casement windows and a 6-panelled door, the top 2
panels glazed. The frame is in 4 irregular bays; timbers exposed inside.
Plain scudding, deep main beams with curved stops; chamfered joists set flat;
original upper ceilings in the same style as those to ground floor. Roof in 5
bays: one row of clasped purlins, one row of unstepped butt purlins with
tapered-off ends, windbraces, diminished principals.
