House, formerly rectory. C17, refaced in early C19. Timber framed with
stucco colourwashed render and a plaintile roof, probably originally
thatched. 2-cell baffle-entry plan. Entrance front: 2 bays, symmetrically
disposed with a near-central classical door surround with brackets
supporting an open pediment and early-C20 half-glazed door. To the right
of this is a 2-light casement and to left a C20 window of 3 x 3 panes and
at first floor level windows of 3 x 3 sash panes with moulded surrounds.
To the ridge, slightly at right of centre, is a stack of 2 flues. The
right hand gable end has a cross-window at left and a window of 3 x 3 panes
to the gable. The left hand gable end is blank to the lower body and has a
slightly jettied gable with blocked central window, supported on brackets.
Rear: doorway at right of centre and another at left, which latter is 1/2-
glazed. Window of 3 x 3 panes to ground floor at right and a single light
and a 2-light window at left. The first floor has a 2-light widow at left.
Interior: Chamfered ceiling beams with stepped lamb's tongue end stops.
Jowled wall posts with cross beams. Winder staircase.
