House row with shops below. C17 core with C18 and early C19 fronts. Brick, whitewashed
to right end. Plain tiled roof raised over Nos. 46 and 52, brick stacks to right end,
rear of Nos. 48 and 50 and to end left. Nos. 44 and 46 to right: 2 storeys, 4 bays with
C19 sashes to first floor, shop windows to ground floor with central, recessed,doubled
half-glazed doors.
No. 42 : 2 bays with C19 sash windows under segmental heads, gauged brick to first
floor. Rusticated rendered ground floor with tri-partite segmental head sash window to
right in moulded surround. 4 panel door to left with transome light in moulded surround.
Nos. 50 and 52: red brick with wooden eaves cornice. 5 bays with glazing bar sashes, two
C18 windows to centre, one C19 to right. Plate glass window to ground floor, tri-partite
sash to right. Panelled door with transome light to left(52), plate glass door to right
(50). C20 extensions to rear.
