(The Manor House)


Entrance wall and gates to house. C18 with late C19 entrance gate. 3rown brick wall
with red brick to gate, stone coping to end piers to left. Wall: 10 feet high and c150
feet lobg with two square 12 foot piers to left end. Wrought iron gates between. Red
brick gate to left in front of main house entrance c 15 feet high. Brick piers with
stone Doric capitals, moulded brick arch with kaystone breaking into base of swans-neck
broken pediment containing central stone sphere on square plinth. The wall forms an
important feature in Station Road.
