5/58 Chobham Place

House, now divided. Late C18 altered in early C19 with C20 extensions to left.
Stuccoed main block with brown brick extensions. Hipped slate roofs, end
stacks to main block, and ridge stacks to extension. 3 storeys on main block;
2 storeys to left. Channelled rustication to ground floor of main block,
string courses over each floor, that over ground floor in guilloche pattern;
modillion cornice to base of parapet. 7 bays with square glazing bar sash
windows to second floor under cambered heads; taller 12 pane sashes to ground
and first floors in architrave surrounds with cills supported on brackets.
Part glazed door to left in portico with acanthus leaf capitals to columns
and transome light above with metal tracery. Two storey wing to left; 3 bays
with 2 bay wing projecting to left end. Glazing bar sash windows under gauged
brick heads. Further door to left hand return front.
