Hall House. C15 altered in C16 and extended in C20. Timber frame on stone and
render plinth with rendered infill. Horsham slab roofs taller to left with rear
ridge stack to left and front ridge stack to right. 2 storeys to left and right
end, 1 storey and attic to centre under 1 leaded lucarne window. 3 original
framed bays and 2 C20 to right with curved bracing. Four C20 leaded casements
across ground floor. Planked door to right end in entrance bay set bay under
tiled roof with gabled porch hood on wooden supports. Left hand return front:
former upper end of hall house, jettied on first floor with tile hung gable; braced
posts to ground floor and curved braces above. 3 leaded casements to first floor,
2 below. Planked door to right.

Interior: Base cruck roof forming quasi-aisle. Framing exposed with moulded dais
beam, large tie beam and rebated crown post to 1st floor room on left.

This house is the only known example of a base cruck in Surrey.
