6/195 Haxted Mill
11/6/58 (formerly listed with barn)

Mill, now museum. Late C18.Brown brick below, timber framed with weatherboard
cladding above. Parallel range plain tiled mansard roofs with gable ends to
street. 2 storeys and attics in gables. Projecting gabled hoist bay to left
hand range on first floor with one 9-light casement window. Two 6-light windows
on first floor, 3 windows on ground floor: Boarded door to first floor left.
C20 board door to right of centre. Pentice roof single storey bay set back to
right with Mill Wheel in brick trough attached to front. Left hand
return front:- Remains of old larger Mill Wheel attached at basement level.
