9/236 Ray Lodge Farm House

30/3/83 II

House. Late C17/early C18 with early C19 extension to right. Timber frame of
thin scantling to left on brick plinth with rendered infill and plain tiled roofs
stepped down to left. Incised rendered brick extensions to centre and right with
plain tiled roof to centre and hipped slate roof to right. Central chimney house
to centre with wings to north west (left) and to south east (right). 2 storeys,
3 bays to left end with one blocked window and one leaded casement on first floor.
1 storey and attic to centre with plat band over ground floor and 2 eaves windows
under gables, 3-light leaded casements to ground floor. 2 storeys to right end
with blocked window to first floor and 2 blocked windows below. Planked door to
left of centre. Right hand return front:- Tuscan portico to ground floor centre
with two columns.
