Coal tax post. c1860. Stone obelisk on moulded tapering plinth, c14 foot high
overall. City of London Shield cast on the shaft with inscription on the plinth
below reading "14 & 15 VIC/C146". A Coal and Wine tax post indicating the boundary
at which duty was payable; that on coal dating back to the 1660's.
