Cottage row. C16 with C17 extension to left, C19 restorations and C20 wing
projecting from centre. Timber framed with brick infill to right, red brick wing to
centre; knapped flint with brick dressings to left end. Plain tiled roofs with ridge
stack to end right, stack to left of centre and stack to right. 2 storeys. 2 framed
bays to right with C19 casement windows and half timbered dormer. 1 framed bay to
left of centre with gabled front return wing to left end. Brick plat band over ground
and first floors, brick triangular patterning in gable. 2 leaded casements in gable
front, 1 in framed bay. 6 panel door under flat hood on brackets to left (Forge
Cottage). Ribbed board door to right of centre (Church Cottage). Plaque in gable
"E/L/ 1673".
