Coal and wine tax post. Circa 1861 by Henry Grissell. Circa 3 feet high. Metal,
four legged plinth with chamfered pier above under moulded capital band and
pyramidal top. City of London Shield on front. Lettering on front:- "24 and 25
VICT/CAP 42". A Coal and Wine Tax Post indicating the boundary at which duty was
payable; that on coal dating back to the 1660's.
