Church. Rebuilt in 1784 by Thomas Woods, Churchwarden, Chancel altered in midCl9. Blue
and brown brick in header bond, with red brick dressings on galleted heathstone plinth
to Nave, galleted heathstone tower to west and chancel to east. Plain tiled roof with
lead spike over tower. Box nave with square tower to west, gabled porch to south, aisle
to north, chancel to east with vestry to north and organ bay to south. Battlemented tower
with round-arch, louvred, openings in upper stage of all faces, roundel to south. C20,
part-glazed door under stone traceried overlight to west end. 3 round arched, leaded,
windows in gauged brick surround to north and south sides. Decorated stone tracery window
to east end connected by cill band. C20 doors under round arch surround to south in
gabled porch.
Interior: post and lintel Doric arcade to north side with three tapering columns on
panelled wood pedastals. Gallery across west end on thin iron columns. Balustrade above.
C19 chancel arch to small chancel with square panel, painted ceiling. Blind arch to south
side. C20 fittings. C19 stone font, octagonal, with panelled sides decorated with
quatrefoil panels on panelled, octagonal, stem.
