Cleve Lodge
ST 6576 8/201 24.4.51.
Late C18 now isolated in a modern housing development. Red brick front
on pennant plinth with freestone dressings, other elevations rendered.
Three storeys, front divided into 3 units by stone pilasters, moulded cornice,
rendered brick parapet with stone coping. Three windows, outer tripartite,
sashes with flat heads, stone keys and stepped voussoirs, centre windows
round-headed with keys and impost blocks and with cills on small cut-stone
brackets. Central arched doorway with good doorcase, open dentilled pediment
on composite half-columns, panelled door under radiating fanlight. Verandah
removed from front. Three window return to right. Interior: original
staircase close to entrance.
