5/5 Middle Farm House

II

House. C17, restored and re-roofed in C19. Timber-framed, underbuilt in
rendered brick, square framing of thin scantling above, exposed with
whitewashed brick infill. Plain tiled roof. Two storeys. Front stack
to right end, rear stack to left, larger rear stack on plinth with ribbed
shaft and part-rendered, corbelled, top. Four framed bays with gabled
projection to right of centre. Irregular casement fenestration, four
windows across the first floor, one in gabled projection cutting into the
timbers. Five windows on ground floor under cambered relieving arches,
one metal casement to right. C20 door to centre in pentice roofed addition
to gabled projection, further rendered extension to left end.

Interior: some framing exposed, mainly on ceilings.
