Rose Cottage

Cottage pair. Early C18. Timber framed with whitewashed rendered cladding
to front, weatherboarded to right hand return front, rubblestone plinth to
rear and plain tiled roof. Two storeys with two stacks to rear. Three 2-
light casements to first floor, two windows below. C19 doors to left and
right in gabled porches. Catslide roof extension to rear, flat roof
extension to rear right.

Interior: some ceiling frames and wall partition frames of thin scantling
exposed.

Possibly associated with Gunpowder Mills at Chilworth.
