SU 94 NW SHACKLEFORD CP THE STREET

2/138 Cross Farm House

GV II

House. Late C16, refaced in C18 and extended in C20. Timber framed core
on sandstone plinth with red and brown brick cladding, plain tiled roof,
hipped to left. Two storeys with plat band over ground floor and small
end stack to right, larger stack to left of centre. Irregular front of
three casement windows across first floor and four windows below under
cambered relieving arches. Panelled door to left of centre in C20 porch,
pentice roofed, with top two panels glazed in chamfered brick surround
under cambered head. Parallel range to rear right. Right hand return
front: Queen-post frame in gable, exposed, with red brick infill. C20
porch extension to right end.
