12/242 Bodryn Cottage and
14.6.67 Forge Cottage
Former hall house now divided. Late C15 to right with C17 cross wing
to left end. Timber framed clad in whitewashed roughcast to right,
framing exposed to left and centre with whitewashed brick infill, steep
pitched plain tiled roof. T-shaped plan with cross wing to left end.
One storey and attic to right and centre under two gabled tile hung
leaded eaves casement dormers and two storeys on cross wing with
first floor jettied on brackets with end braces. Curved braces to first
floor on cross wing and remains of close stud framing to ground floor
left. Corbelled ridge stack to right of centre and end stacks to left.
One three-light leaded casement on each floor with two leaded ground
floor windows to centre left. Planked door under flat hood to right of
centre and further planked and glazed door to right of centre. Left
hand return front: further dormer and end stack with pentice roof
extension. Right hand return front: tile hung gable on first floor to
right. Left hand return front: three first floor casement windows and
windows to ground floor. Pentice extension to left part weatherboarded
with lead hopper with grotesque face dated 1620.
