5/70 Daisy Cottage and
Violet Cottage

GV II

House, now divided. 1863 in Lovelace Style. Flint rubble with brick dressings and
quoins. Slate roofs. End gabled wings with recessed centre range. 2 storeys with
corbelled, ribbed end stacks to left and right. Oval lozenge with Lovelace crest in
each of the gables. Rendered plinth below with brick billet band to ground floor and
dentilled eaves. One cambered head casement window under label moulding to first
floor of each gable. 2 cambered head casements to ground floor. Original single
light casement to left of centre on first floor, part-glazed door to right of centre.
Balcony across centre of first floor. Arched stable style door, part-glazed to ground
floor right of centre (Violet Cottage). Boarded porch and glazed door to left of
centre. 1984 extension set back to right.
