Former Hall House, now Public House, extended and divided. Early C16 with C17
alterations and C19 wings to ends. Timber framed core to centre, underbuilt in
whitewashed brick with whitewashed brick infill above to exposed frame on centre,
whitewashed brick extensions to ends. Hipped plain tiled roofs, gablet to left
end. Old house parallel to the street with cross wing to end left to rear and
front end extensions forming half-H plan. Two storeys, 3 framed bays to centre
with front end stack to left, central ridge stack and further stacks to right of
centre and on right hand side. Plinths to end extensions with plat band over
ground floor right and dentilled eaves to left. Two first floor casement windows
to centre, one window to ground floor left and further window to ground floor
right in pentice roof extension in re-entrant angle with wing. C20 ground floor
window to left hand wing with one blocked window and one casement above to side of
wing. One camber head window on each floor to end of right hand wing. Half-
glazed door to right of centre and C20 glazed door in arched, tile-on-edge surround
to right hand wing.
