GV II

Entrance walls and gate. Circa 1796. Red-brown brick with shaped brick coping,
hipped plain tiled roofs to side buildings. Entrance wall approximately 1 1/2 metres
high and extending across the front of the hospital with pilaster buttresses, 7
to left and 4 to right of gate. Gateway flanked by piers approx 2 metres high and
crowned by stone spheres. Wrought iron gate between. Wall curves round south
corner to return along Onslow Road and connects to a single storey rectangular
outbuilding. Right angle return to north, facing Queens Road, connects to similar
single storey block, with ogee-headed, leaded casement fenestration, two windows
on front elevation and blind on the return wall.
