House. Late C16/early C17 with C18 extension to front, C19 wing to front right and
later C19 wings to ends. Timber framed core clad to rear in red brick with whitewashed
brick extensions across the front; part tile-hung extensions to ends. Plain tiled
roofs over older sections and to ends, turret roof to angle bay right of centre.
Original 3 framed bay house now to rear centre left, two storeys with corbelled
stacks to left end and tall corbelled stacks to right. Taller canted bay added
to front right with dentilled stack to left of it. One sash window on each floor
of each face of the bay; pentice to left in re-entrant angle with old range, one
cross window to first floor. Hip-roofed cross wing to left end with one 3-light
window on the first floor and one window below to left. Pentice to right on ground
floor of wing extends across the front of the old range to form a porch with a six-
panel door and open verandah. Further door to left end in set-back extension.
Rectangular hip-roofed range to right with 3 sash windows on the first floor and
pentice below. Glazed door to right. Rear - cambered-head casement fenestration.
Interior:- Ceiling frame exposed on ground floor centre room with chamfered spine
beam. Deep chimney and C19 stone fireplace surround in end room to left.
