2 houses in single occupation. No 8 is L-shaped with a right wing running back,
of early C18 date, whose roof ridge appears above the parapet of the early C19
front. This is of 2 storeys and attic, 3 windows. Stucco with parapet and slated
roof with one dormer. Rounded bow at either side, the upper windows curved and
a late C19 or early C20 shop front below which follows the curves of the bows.
1st floor windows are sashes with glazing bars. The old wing at right is visible
on return; brownish-red brick in English bond with a 1st floor band and a steeply-
pitched tiled roof. No 10 is of late C18. 3 storeys, 2 windows. Stuccoed front.
Hipped tiled roof with modillion eaves cornice. On 2nd floor original sash windows
with glazing bars. On 1st floor a C19 small bay window and a later sash. On
ground floor a shop front in keeping with that of No 8.

Nos 8 to 18 (even) form a group.
