5/22 Langshott Manor

II

House. C17 remodelled and extended in early C20 in timber frame vernacular style.
Timber framed on rubblestone and rendered plinths. Herringbone brick infill below
bands of plain and fishscale tile hanging above on front range; square panel
framing with brick infill, tile hung gables on rear range. Horsham slab roofs
with ridge cresting; tall multiple stacks,many placed diagonally, with battlemented
brick tops. Two L shape ranges one behind the other with connecting range between
at right angles. 2 storeys, attics in gable ends and in gabled dormer to rear
left, 3 storeys in centre of connecting range under gabled bellcote; leaded casement
fenestration throughout, 4 across first floor of front range, four to rear. Ribbed
tudor style door placed diagonally in gabled porch with four centred arched entrance
connected to hip roof single storey lobby in re-entrant angle between ranges.
Further door to rear right under pent porch hood. Single storey extension set back
to rear left.

Interior:- Not inspected - reputed to have date plaque over fireplace.
