One roof span; houses stepped forward uphill. Early C18 with late C18 to
early C19 and later C19 additions. 2 storeys and attic. Tiled roof. 5
window bays to Old Cotmandene Lodge which is fronted with grey headers with
red brick dressings, quoins and stringcourse. Dentilled eaves cornice.
Doorway with fluted pilasters, pediment, semi-circular fanlight and door
with 6 fielded panels. Cotmandene House with late C18 to early C19 exterior.
It projects slightly and is wholly fronted in red brick; now painted on south
side. 2 window bays each to south and west. Parapet. Mansarded roof.
Conservatory in the corner.
North of Old Cotmandene Lodge, No 2 Cotmandene Lodge and Rushwood House
slightly in recession with C19 front to an C18 core. Eaves level same as
in Old Cotmandene Lodge; chimney stacks with early C19 pots similar to Old
Cotmandene Lodge; stringcourse at same height. 3 conjoined tile-hung gables.
1st floor roughcast; Rushwood House with 2 sash windows 3 panes wide with
blind covers; No 2 Cotmandene Lodge with splayed bay window on 1st and ground
floors to left hand [see Rosehill House] and, to right hand, a sash window
[like windows in Old Cotmandene Lodge and Rushwood House] on 1st floor, and
on ground floor, lean-to porch extension.
