6/73 Birketts Farm House

II

House. C16, extended to front in C17 and to right end in late C18/C19. Timber
framed,exposed on ground floor left with whitewashed brick infilling, galleted
sandstone block to right with brick angle quoins and plain tiled roofs. Tile
hung first floor canted out over ground floor. T-shaped plan with rebuilt stack
to rear left and corbelled end stack to right. Two storeys, one 3-light C20
window to left and one across first floor of left hand gable. Further window to
right hand gable with attic window above. One ground floor window to left and
two to right. One cambered head window on each floor of right hand gable. Door
to left end in pentice porch. Gable lit attic to left hand return front.
