8/82 Mays Cottage


Cottage. C17, extended in C19 and C20. Timber framed, clad below in red brick on
stone plinth, fishscale tile hanging above with plain tiled roof. Two storeys
with fine C17 brick stack on offset, quoined, rubblestone plinth to left. Two leaded
casements to first floor, three windows below under gauged brick heads. Door now
in left hand return front in C20 brick porch under pentice roof. Right hand return
front:- frame exposed with tile hung gable. C20 wing at right angles to rear.
Included for group value around village green.
