4/117 Chest Tomb, 25 metres
South West of Church
of St. John

GV II

Chest tomb. Late C17/Early C18. Stone chest with darker stone lid. Tapering
towards the base and with north and south sides projecting. Foliate carving
over top of panel with winged cherubs head. Panelled piers to angles.
Cartouches on east and west ends, that to east more elaborate. Iron railed
surround with urn finials to angles and centre of North and South sides.
