6/14 Orchard Cottage
II

House. Circa 1640. Timber framed,clad in whitewashed brick, tile hung above,
with brick extensions and plain tiled roofs. Originally an end chimney house
at right angles to street. Two storeys with stack to right of centre, largely
rebuilt. Three windows across the first floor, one window on ground floor.
Door to right of centre. Left hand return front:- Tile hung gable end. One
first floor, one between-floors and one ground floor window below. Buttresses
on corners.
Interior:- Spine beams on ceilings with chamfered angles. Deep inglenook. Gun-
stock main posts and one arched brace on first floor.
