Former Hospital, now flats. c1864, by John Loxwood-King. Bargate stone with red
brick quoins and eaves courses, plain tiled roof. Two storeys gable ends, one
storey and attics to centre under two, through-eaves, steeply gabled dormers under
iron finials. 3 shouldered lights with diamond-pane leaded glazing to each dormer;
smaller triangular dormers to left of centre at junction with wing. Two diagonal
stacks to left hand return front, ribbed and corbelled stack to rear centre,
further stack to rear right. Brick stringcourse over ground floor and to first
floor of end gables, stone-dressed 'breathers' above. One 4-light, stone-dressed
lancet window to first floor of outer gables, one 5-light mullion and transomed
window below. Two 3-light, diamond-pane mullioned and transomed windows to ground
floor right of centre, either side of trefoil-head inscription panel with
dedication in Gothic script. Gabled porch of two storeys to right of centre,
parallel with outer gable. Single lancet window on first floor. Double doors with
strapwork hinges under moulded, arched head and hood moulding.
