GV II

House. Probably c.1830; slightly altered. Red brick in Flemish bond, slate roof.
Rectangular double-depth plan. Two storeys and 3 bays, symmetrical; central
segmental-headed doorway now with a modern glazed door; segmental-headed
sashed windows with margin panes. Hipped roof with 2 large corniced chimneys
to the rear. The left return wall has one window on each floor towards the rear
(casement at ground floor, 12-pane sash above), and the rear corner is tusked as
for an intended rear wing; the right-hand return wall has an inserted door and
window. Rear and interior not inspected. The item forms a group with the
associated former mill (The Granary) approx. 10 metres to the south (q.v.).
