Group of 3 headstones and 3 footstones
approx 10 metres east of chancel of Church
of St Nicholas

GV II

Group of 3 monumental headstones in a short north-south row, with associated
footstones behind them. Mid to later C18, those in the centre and at the south
end dated 1768 and 1757 respectively. All of limestone. All have shaped tops,
the faces carved with winged - cherubs' heads (the centre and left with 2, and
the other with one), with scrolls, flourishes, etc. The inscriptions are mostly
illegible, but the footstone of that to the right is inscribed "I S 1757".
