GV II

Pair of houses. Early C19, altered. Roughcast painted white, slate roof, brick
chimney stack. Double-depth plan composed of square main block with one-bay
side-wings. Three storey 2+2-bay centre with 2-storey one-bay lean-to side wings
(that to No.25 on the left altered as a flat roof), symmetrical except for later
addition to the right; the ground floor has tall French windows protected by a
glass-roofed verandah run out across the side wings which contain the doorways,
the 1st floor (including the wings) has 12-pane sashed windows, the 2nd floor has
9-pane sashes, and all these windows have moulded architraves painted black.
No.25 has a Sun insurance plaque between 1st and 2nd floors. Bracketed eaves,
hipped roof with central chimney stack. Rear and interior not inspected.
