5/5 Ellis Place

House. C16, much extended and enlarged in C20. Original house timber framed,
colourwashed brick infill, colourwashed brick extensions, all under continuous
plain tile roof with ridge cresting, rebuilt stack to rear. Original house:
2 storeys 2 bays to left with projecting gabled bay to right; C20 casement
windows, 3 across the first floor. Queen post construction exposed in gable
front. Extensive additions to left include 2 gabled bays and arched ribbed
door in quadrant bay to left. Gable front addition to right end with drip
moulding over casement windows.

Interior: Some framing, much restored, survives.
