5/73 Indosuez Bank Training


House, now training centre. 1910 by E P Warren in classical style. Render
and stone with hipped plain tiled roof; two panelled stacks to main block.
Court front: 2 storeys and attic under 3 segmental pedimented dormers, the outer
ones with flanking scrolls: 9 bays, centre 5 recessed, glazing bar sash windows,
those in outer bays with arched mouldings and keystones above, cill aprons below;
windows to centre with flat hoods. Central projecting stone entrance bay, quoined
and pedimented, first floor window with lugged surround and flanking foliage
scrolls. Centre half-glazed doors in Ionic plaster surround supporting segmented
pediment and projecting keystone. Bay set back to right hand side with rusticated
gable and venetian window on first floor.

Garden front: 7 bays, centre 5 recessed; hipped roof dormers to ends, central
3 dormers linking,outer doors with segemental pediments and black surrounds,
middle dormer with triangular pediment and eaved foliage surround. Bow window
to ground floor centre with six Doric columns, glazed between. Hoppers dated 1910.
