Cl8, front to older building dating from 1600 approx. Painted stucco. Moulded
and dentilled eaves cornice. Old tile roof. 1 attic skylight.
2 large C18 angular bays on lst floor with plain aprons, springing from beam
at 1st floor level The upper part originally oversailed, and yard entry to
left hand is slightly set back and has curved bracket support to beam. The
1st floor bays have centre light 5 panes wide, and side lights 2 panes wide,
and are crowned with cornice heads. The shop front on ground floor is early
C19 with a single and double window, architrave surrounds, and half-glazed
door with plain fanlight to right hand; to left hand, a 2-panelled door with
fanlight over. The yard entry has flat 3-centred arched head. The court
at back has a long line of buildings of various dates part Cl7, part C18.
2 storeys of different heights. Tile-hung gable with central 2-light casement
over yard entry, and, 1st section of wing adjoining has 2 casements on 1st floor,
2 C18 windows on ground floor and central 6-panel door, with additional 6-panel
door to left hand. This has good scroll brass knocker in architravo surround
with doorcase of panelled pilasters, cut double scroll brackets, and moulded
cornice hood broken forward over brackets which have curved frieze between.
The 2nd section has 2 mullioned and transomed and 2 smaller leaded casements
on 1st floor, 2-light and 3-light mullioned casements and plain door on ground
floor. One other door under yard entry. Illustrated Country Life July 10th

The Borough front of the Bush Hotel and Nos 29 to 44 (consec) form a group.
The east fronts of Nos 35 and 36, the stable blocks in the south-east corner,
and stone setts in Borelli's yard, all form a group.
