Nos 14 to 17 (consec):- Late C18 cottages. 2 storey. Brick on projecting
plinth with moulded capping. Brick dentil eaves cornice. Old tile roof. The
group symmetricaliy designed has 4 windows, 4 panes wide, and 3 doors arranged
between vindows, 4-panel, flush type, in arched recesses. The door of No 17
is suppressed in right hand corner. Tile gabled roof; ground floor windows
with slightly segmental heads.
No 18: Late C18, 2 storey and attic. Pebble dash with projecting plinth.
Small moulded eaves cornice. Old tile roof. Flanking chimneys. 3 windows,
4 panes wide, with architrave frames on lst floor. 2 similar windows, with
plain frames on lst floor. Central 6-panel door, vase knocker, in doorcase
of narrow pilasters, entablature and pediment. Right hand return front has
tile-hung gable with moulded brick string on brick dentils at foot; on the lower
part of the wall, the following painted inscription: "Sampson Sampson. Licensed
Railings to No 18: slender rails with small spear-shaped finials rise alternately
to 2 different heights. Standards with larger finials of similar shape, The
railings are attached to either end of the front of the house and to either
side of the central doorway.

The listed buildings in Bridge Square, Firgrove Hill (West Side), Red Lion
Lane (North West Side) and Nos 57 and 59 Abbey Street, form a group.
