Late C18, early C19 front to older timber-framed building. 2 storey and attic.
Upper part brick with moulded wood eaves cornice on pairs of cut brackets and
hipped old tile roof. 3 dormers, small sashes. 3 windows, 4 panes wide on
1st floor. 2 C19 shop fronts across ground floor, the left hand framed with
engaged Doric columns at angles, with entablature, the central door in 3-centred
arched opening set back between pair of windows, altered glazing. The right
hand front has window 8 panes wide x 3, and half-glazed door to left hand,
framed with panelled pilasters and entablature. The whole ground floor set
forward from face of main wall and crowned with low cast iron balcony rails
of coupled vertical bars and plain horizontal rail.

All the listed buildings, with Nos 1 to 9 (consec) Lowndes Buildings,
in Castle Street (West Side) form a group.
