Pair of late Cl8 houses. 2 storey and attic. Red brick on projecting plinth.
Slate roof to No 21. Each has one dormer, small sash and 2 windows on lst
floor.
No 2l has one window on ground floor, and 6-panel door, flush type, in surround
of architrave, pi1aste+s with cut console brackets, and cornice broken forward
over pilasters. Small secondary arched door to left hand.
No 22 has small Cl9 shop window of 3 light with entablature, and similar door
and surround to No 21.

All the listed buildings, with Nos 1 to 9 (consec) Lowndes Buildings, in Castle
Street (West Side) form a group.
